KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

You hold at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. You already have solid first-hand experience as a customs specialist (import and/or export) under your belt. You have extensive knowledge of logistics (incoterms, customs formalities, VAT and excise duties, storage and handling of goods, import and export documentation). You have strong and accurate administrative skills and are capable of grasping new software tools with ease. You hold excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English. Basic knowledge of French is also a plus. You wish to be part of a dynamic team operating under one shared company ethos.

OFFER

As Customs Specialist, you will be responsible for offering advice, as well as drawing up all types of customs documents and formalities in relation to import, export, and transit. This comprises a varied set of administrative tasks. You will be responsible for creating customs declarations in the system in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Through customer consultations, you will help determine the applicable customs tariff codes. You will verify that all information provided is correct and carry out checks on customs documents, before sending these on to the relevant personnel and departments. You will manage cases in the correct manner, providing information to internal forwarding specialists and external customers. Finally, you will ensure smooth cooperation with customs officials.
